Obituary: The closing chapter in the life of one of the most delightful personalities Whitesville ever knew was written Monday of this week, August 12, 1929, when Mrs. Florence McGinty passed through the door of life and into the great unknown adventure that follows death.
Florence Dell FISH, daughter of Ransom and Abbie Collins FISH,was born on Jan. 31 1870, in Independence township where she grew to womanhood. In the year 1890 she was married to James McGinty. She lived in Pittsburgh, PA and Minneapolis, Minn. for years, but for the past ten years had made her home in Hornell with her daughter, Mrs. Abbie Burr. She had been in ill health for the past year.
Beside her mother and daughter, deceased is survived by two sisters, Mrs. D.G. Spicer of Beach Hill, Mrs. Fred Petterson of Akron, Ohio, and one abrother, W. D. Fish of Coudersport, PA
Farewell services are held today, Thursday, at 2 PM from the home of Mrs. Fish. Rev. Clara Morgan of Hornell and Rev. C.L. Paddock officiating and Fred Wildman in charge.
Burial in the family plot in Rural Cemetery.
