1635: Samuel Lincoln came to Hingham, Massachusetts and was one of the original proprietors of that town. 1650: He was at Taunton and built a grist mill on the mill river, in the heart of the present city, near the street leading from the railroad station to the city square. He was one of the stockholders of the famous Taunton Iron Works.
