Came to Boston about 1638. A town officer. Possessed considerable wealoth and transcted a large amount of business. Acted sometimes for brother Richard H. ironmonger, ofLondon. Was involved in the troubles which grew out of the preaching of his brother Wiloiam`s wife and his brother in law, Mr. John Wheelwright in 1637 and 1638. and remained in Newport. Returned to England. Wife Sarah. child John bapt. 1634, Ichabod in 1637.
