Helped build the "Turnpike", a street in Rochester, NY now called Main Street. Erected the first house in the twp. of Farmersville, NY; a log house in a community known as "Hog Hollow". Lived in Pittsford, Monroe Co., and Farmersville, Catt. Co., NY. Died at son Elihu Dowd`s home. War of 1812 Veteran; Pvt. in Capt. Crittenden`t Co., Maj. Adam`s NY Reg.; drafted at Sheldon, Genesee Co., NY May 1813 for 3 months, honorably discharged on or about 1 Aug 1813
