Linford F. LAFFERTY was 16 when he enlisted in the service in Machias, NY He was a resident of Bradford, PA at the time of his enlistment. He was wounded in the left thigh at the Battle of Bull Run , and was discharged from the service on 26 Nov, 1863 from College Hospital, Georgetown. He was paroled from Groveton Battlefield, 03 Sep 1862, re-enlisted and was captured a second time. Linford was 5`4" tall, grey eyes and auburn hair. He was a farmer when he enlisted in the service. He subsequently reenlisted, was taken prisoner and may have died in a Confederate prison. Records say he died at Salisbury, NC 02 Jan 1865
