John died in New Hudson, but was buried in Pierpont, according to the town records of New Hudson. The 1880 Census of Pierpont only lists one child, there may have been more.
Census of 26 Sep 1850 says John was living in Machias, Catt Co. NY, in the household of Ira Winslow, single, a blacksmith.
