Notes:
Settled in Green`s Corners (where the roads going four directions cross), as a wagon maker. Was a resident of Independence, Allegany Co. NY until 1856 when he married his second wife and settled at Green`s Corners where he was a wagon maker. After the Civil War and until 1890 he was a carpenter and a farmer. After the death of his second wife, he married again and became a merchant at Green`s corners. Mr. Remington was a loyal citizen and belonged to Sawyer Post, G.A.R. (Allegany County and its People- by John Minard)
