Will of Job Briggs of Little Compton dated 07 Jan1732/33, proved 17 Apr, 1733, from Bristol Co. MA Records, vol 1, 1687-1745
Inventory of land: 105£ 13s.7d, viz:apparel, 18£ 3s1d, cash 10£, pewter warming pan, pair of worsted combs, sword, spinning wheel, 57 gallons rum, 2 hogsheads,cider, bible, testament, psalter, pair of oxen, cow, calf, and mare, homestead and 12 acres, 590£ and 37 acres of wild land, 139£. This homestead was on the east side of Little Compton, next to the Dartmouth line, now Westport, probably near Adamsville. His will also indicates he had land in Tiverton which was sold by the executor.
